Centrifuge Tubes

Centrifuge Tubes

Centrifuge tubes are a core consumable in sample preparation, biological processing, and analytical workflows where separation by density, pelleting of particulates, or phase separation is required. Tube material, wall thickness, and closure design must be rated for the g-force, rotor type, and chemical environment of the intended application — a tube that cracks, deforms, or leaks under centrifugation contaminates the rotor, destroys the sample, and creates a biohazard or chemical exposure risk in the laboratory. Conical tube geometry facilitates complete pellet recovery by concentrating sedimented material at a defined point, while flat-bottom tubes are preferred for applications requiring stable upright storage of the separated fraction.

Ibis Scientific supplies centrifuge tubes in 15 mL and 50 mL conical formats in polypropylene and high-clarity polyethylene, sterile and non-sterile configurations, and RNase-free and DNase-free certified options for molecular biology applications, from manufacturers including Globe Scientific™ and CELLTREAT™.
